Abstract
Left atrial appendage occluder devices (LAAODs) offer stroke prevention in patients with atrial fibrillation who have bleeding complications or contraindications to oral anticoagulation. We present a case of successful endovascular removal of a third-generation LAAOD embolized to the pararenal aorta. The patient presented asymptomatically after unrelated imaging demonstrated the LAAOD near the lumbar spine. The LAAOD was removed using a laparoscopic biopsy grasper via a percutaneous right femoral approach, thus avoiding a more complicated open procedure.
