Abstract
A 32-year-old man presented with a left renal mass incidentally found during a recent health examination. Renal cell carcinoma was highly suspected by the subsequent abdominal enhanced CT scan. The renal tumor exhibited extremely intense 18F-FDG uptake on the 18F-FDG PET/CT. Radical nephrectomy was performed, and the diagnosis of succinate dehydrogenase (SDH)-deficient renal cell carcinoma (SDH-deficient RCC) was confirmed by the histopathology and genetic analysis.
