A Prospective Study Comparing the Use of Radiometric Measurements in CBCT and DEXA Scans of the Spine to Measure Bone Mineral Density in Postmenopausal Women

INTRODUCTION: This study evaluated BMD using radiomorphometric indices from conebeam computed tomography (CBCT) scans of the mandible, comparing them with dualenergy Xray absorptiometry (DEXA) scans of the spine. RESULTS: The study emphasizes the robustness of DEXAderived T scores for assessing bone health and guiding treatment in postmenopausal women.
