Abstract
Prosthetic valve endocarditis (PVE) represents a significant clinical challenge in cardiology and cardiac surgery. Characterized by infection of a prosthetic heart valve, PVE can lead to severe morbidity and mortality, necessitating a comprehensive understanding of its pathophysiology, epidemiology, clinical presentation, diagnostic methods, treatment strategies, and preventive measures.
