High-efficiency photocatalytic CO(2) reduction in organic-aqueous system: a new insight into the role of water

We have first identified a new promotional mechanism of water in the photocatalytic conversion of CO(2) into CO, which is different from the traditional role of proton source. High efficiency (44.5 μmol h(-1)) achieved through construction of a binary liquid system was determined by systematic research.
