• Doppler ultrasound of the abdominal veins enables bedside assessment of venous congestion. • Femoral vein Doppler can be a valuable tool to guide ultrafiltration in dialysis patients. • Femoral vein Doppler may aid in situations where hepatic vein waveform is chronically abnormal.
