Abstract
A 69-year-old man with a history of smoking and hypertension was referred for evaluation of an enlarging abdominal aortic aneurysm. A computed tomography angiogram revealed a 5.7-cm infrarenal aneurysm and the presence of a duplicate right common iliac artery and absent hypogastric artery. Owing to the unusual anatomy of the iliac arteries and concerns about potential colorectal ischemia, an open surgical repair of the aneurysm was performed. The patient's recovery was uneventful, with normal perfusion to both lower extremities. This case is the first to report a duplicate right common iliac artery.
