The Sn(IV) atom in the title compound, [Sn(CH3)2(NCS)2(C12H8N2)], is located on a twofold rotation axis in a distorted octa-hedral enviroment. The methyl groups are trans to each other [C-Sn-C = 175.7â (3)°], whereas the thio-cyanate groups are cis to each other.
