Rare-earth hydroxide/MXene hybrid: a promising agent for near-infrared photothermy and magnetic resonance imaging

Layered gadolinium hydroxide (LGdH) and Ti(3)C(2) monolayers were assembled into a LGdH/Ti(3)C(2) (GTC) hybrid. The hybrid demonstrated enhanced near-infrared (NIR) light absorption properties and superior photothermal performance. Moreover, the GTC hybrid achieved an excellent T1-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) effect.
