Abstract
Inosperma kashmiranum from Himalayan forests of Azad Jammu and Kashmir is described as a new species based on morphological and molecular data. The phylogenetic placements of this species was inferred, based on molecular evidence from sequences of ITS, 28 S and RPB2. Phylogenetic analyses resolve placement of this species in section Cervicolores. Inosperma kashmiranum is characterized by purplish brown to grayish brown pileus, fibrillose, rimose to squamulose towards margin, smaller (12.1 × 6.9 μm) basidiospores and smaller (44.5 × 8.1 μm) cheilocystidia. Complete description and illustrations, including photographs and line drawings, are presented.
