Abstract
The coexistence of patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) and aortic dissection aneurysm is a rare clinical occurrence. We report a case of a 51-year-old female presenting with type B aortic dissection and PDA-related internal leakage. Initial management involved thoracic endovascular aortic repair with a single-branch stent graft. Persistent postoperative symptoms led to further evaluation, revealing an internal leak caused by a false lumen connected to the PDA. The leak was successfully treated with controllable ciliary coil embolization. This case highlights a novel and effective treatment approach for managing such complex conditions, emphasizing the importance of addressing PDA-related complications in aortic dissection patients.
