Monitoring single Au(38) nanocluster reactions via electrochemiluminescence

Herein, we report for the first time single Au(38) nanocluster reaction events of highly efficient electrochemiluminescence (ECL) with tri-n-propylamine radicals as a reductive co-reactant at the surface of an ultramicroelectrode (UME). The statistical analyses of individual reactions confirm stochastic single ones influenced by the applied potential.
