Abstract
Buoninfante et al. provide a comprehensive overview of possible mechanisms involved in the development of myocarditis following COVID-19 vaccination. They also suggest next steps to further understand the pathophysiology of this disease; however, one common factor has been overlooked. As myocarditis most often occurs in adolescent and young adult males, medications have not played a prominent role in this investigation, as medication use in this age group is uncommon; however, there is one notable exception: use of antipyretics.
