Abstract
BACKGROUND: Xenocorixa Hungerford, 1947 is a monotypic genus containing a single species, Xenocorixa vittipennis (Horváth, 1879), known only from China (Beijing, Hubei, Shandong, Shanghai, Tianjin, Zhejiang), Japan (Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu) and Taiwan. NEW INFORMATION: Xenocorixa vittipennis (Horváth, 1879) is reported from South Korea for the first time. A diagnosis and supplementary description of this species are provided, together with illustrations of the adult and genitalia. A revised checklist of Korean Corixoidea is also provided.
