Near full-length genome sequence of a vesicular stomatitis New Jersey virus isolate collected from a naturally infected cow in the endemic state of Chiapas, Mexico

Here, we report the near full-length genome sequence of a Vesiculovirus newjersey isolate obtained from a naturally infected cow (Bos taurus) in the state of Chiapas, Mexico. This sequence will support future efforts to improve our understanding of the evolutionary dynamics of this pathogen in endemic regions of Mexico.
