Abstract
We present an interesting case of a 17-year-old boy who experienced shortness of breath while playing. He was diagnosed to have an aberrant artery supplying the right lower lobe of the lung arising from the descending thoracic aorta on imaging. Thoracoscopic ligation of the aberrant vessel was done. His recovery was uneventful and symptom free on 6-month follow-up. We have also reviewed the literature on anomalous systemic arterial supply to the basal segment of the lung.
