Abstract
The second modern age has been accompanied by societal changes that place new demands on social work. These changes also affect the field of adult protection law, in which the legislature has created various legal regulations for specific target groups in recent years. The following article presents the associated challenges for social work, which are exacerbated by the current coronavirus pandemic, and examines the requirements in a differentiated approach based on the individual areas. A heuristic view of social developments and their subsequent effects can be applied to forecast future requirements.
